Rude Awakenings

Here is poem told to me by my dad many moons ago.

It goes a little something like this... Ahem..

Stop singing you plum!

As I awoke one morning,
When things bright are born.
A Robin perched upon my sill,
to greet the coming morn.
Its voice was sweet fragile and gay,
And softly did it sing.
And untold joy unto my heart di bring.

So lifting my head from my pillow,
and leaping from my bed.
I sharply closed the window,
And smashed the bastards head.

Dedicated to Lilly and anyone who has trouble getting to sleep/waking up in the morning like I do.

Ima squash you dead you robin!

    1. Cheers Allen, he has his moments. true story but he once took part in a personality test for his job and the report concluded that he had "the potential to be friendly" which is something he is very proud of.
